The successful contractor will be expected to take ownership of several strategic and execution-focused OCM activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Own, develop and mature the M&A OCM artifact suite, ensuring stakeholder analysis, change strategy, communications strategy and change plans remain consistent.
  • Lead structured persona interviews across stakeholder groups to identify role-specific impacts, communication needs, adoption risks, readiness gaps, process dependencies, decision points and enablement requirements.
  • Validate artifacts and assumptions with stakeholders and sponsors while securing agreement on scope, objectives and timelines.
  • Conduct change impact assessments that identify and quantify the effect of proposed changes by role, process, system and communication channel.
  • Connect enterprise M&A OCM strategy to MAIT and FIT playbooks, internal processes and acquisition readiness plans.
  • Develop and deliver communications that explain what is changing, why it is changing and what stakeholders are expected to do.
  • Coordinate communication campaigns, workshops and engagement sessions.
  • Engage senior leaders, managers and employees to build support and commitment and work across multiple levels of leadership.
  • Lead OCM strategy when an acquisition occurs, translating the enterprise approach into actionable plans and coordinating contractors supporting tactical execution.
  • Define and maintain the contractor execution model, directing surge resources toward communication drafting, meeting logistics, artifact updates, tracking, status reporting and tactical plan execution.
  • Retain responsibility for strategy, stakeholder relationships, governance and quality control.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, evaluate change approaches and recommend improvements.
  • Document change activities, progress and outcomes and present insights, learnings and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in change management practice and contribute to capability development within the Center of Excellence.
