Graphic Designer & Print Production Coordinator
Have an eye for great design and the practical skills to bring printed materials to life? HJMH Innovations is looking for a creative, detail-oriented professional who can turn designs into high-quality finished products.
01 Job Overview
HJMH Innovations, a printing and production company, is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer and Print Production Coordinator to create print designs, manage production workflows, and help ensure high-quality output and timely delivery.
This opportunity is suited to someone who understands both the creative and technical sides of print production, pays attention to detail, and can work effectively with production teams.
Career tip: If you have experience creating banners, brochures, flyers, business cards, or other printed materials, make those projects easy to find in your portfolio. Relevant examples help employers understand what you can do.
02 About the Role
The successful candidate will help transform creative concepts into print-ready designs and coordinate the production process from file preparation through printing and finishing.
The role combines design ability, technical accuracy, production coordination, and quality control. You'll need to work carefully, communicate with machine operators, and help ensure that completed jobs meet the required standards.
If you enjoy seeing your designs move beyond the screen and become real, professionally finished products, this opportunity may be worth exploring.
Application tip: Tailor your CV to this role. Highlight print production, file preparation, design software, quality checks, and experience meeting production deadlines. A focused CV is easier for a recruiter to evaluate.
03 Key Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer and Print Production Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
- Design and edit graphics for print production.
- Prepare and inspect print-ready files before production.
- Coordinate printing, finishing, and production workflows.
- Monitor print quality and approve samples before bulk production.
- Minimise material wastage and help ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain production records and coordinate with machine operators.
Stand-out tip: When describing previous work, focus on outcomes as well as duties. For example, explain how you helped meet a deadline, reduced avoidable errors, or maintained consistent print quality. Only include results you can honestly support.
04 Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Proficiency in graphic design or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a printing press.
- Proficiency in CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of flex/banner printing, SAV, DI printing, and print finishing.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Portfolio tip: Select a few strong examples that match the job requirements. Show the type of design, the tools you used, and your contribution. A small, relevant portfolio is often more useful than a large collection of unrelated work.
05 How to Prepare a Strong Application
Before applying, take a few minutes to make sure your application clearly demonstrates why you could be a good fit for this position.
- Update your CV: Highlight relevant graphic design and print production experience near the top.
- Show your software skills: List the design tools you genuinely know how to use.
- Prepare your portfolio: Include relevant examples of print layouts, banners, marketing materials, or finished designs.
- Check your files: Use a professional email address and ensure your CV and portfolio links work correctly.
- Use the correct email subject: Follow the exact subject specified in the application instructions.
- Apply before the deadline: Do not wait until the final hours to prepare and send your application.
A little encouragement: You do not need to meet every preference to make a thoughtful application, but be honest about your skills and experience. Keep improving your CV and portfolio with every opportunity you pursue.
