What should you know before applying?
This opportunity is particularly suited to candidates with a combination of project management experience, agricultural knowledge and the ability to coordinate field activities. Applicants must be resident in Yobe State.

Purpose of the Role
The Project Officer will provide day-to-day field leadership and oversight of the project. The successful candidate will combine strong project management skills with practical agricultural knowledge to support effective implementation and quality delivery.
The role calls for someone who can turn project plans into coordinated field activities, work effectively with technical staff and community stakeholders, monitor progress and contribute to accurate donor reporting.
The two essential strengths
Project management + practical agricultural skills. Both are compulsory requirements for this position.
Application tip: Think of two examples that show how you have coordinated people, managed activities or solved a field-level problem. Specific examples make your experience more convincing than general claims.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Officer will support the implementation, supervision, coordination and monitoring of project activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the implementation of all field activities in Bade and Jakusko.
- Supervise Agronomists and Technical Assistants, providing coordination and field-level oversight.

- Maintain work plans and support adaptive management as project conditions and needs change.
- Prepare donor reports and respond to donor feedback through to project closure.
CV tip: Where possible, include measurable achievements from previous projects. Mention the number of staff supervised, communities reached, activities coordinated or reports completed—but only use figures you can confidently support.
